Writers Club is led by a passionate parent who is dedicated to fostering a love of writing within students. Our photography club engages students to see the world through a different lens, photographing events such as sporting carnivals, dress-up days and other important events. Students love that their experiences of school life are reflected in the moments they capture.
At BWPS we have a community garden which students maintain with parents and staff. In our garden students have grown, rhubarb, lettuce, and silver-beet which they have harvested and cooked in our kitchen.
Once a week during their lunchtime, students are invited into the Art room to engage in creative activities. Students enjoy the opportunity of working alongside their peers, both younger and older, to develop a creative piece.
Every week students meet to play chess. During this time, students learn the strategies of chess practising these against an opponent. Once students have consolidated their new skill, they participate in tournaments with the final round against our Principal. This is always an exciting event that causes a buzz between students and staff alike.
