Music

Bayswater West is fortunate enough to have a brand new music program led by multi-instrumentalist Jason Fados. Music lessons are heavily based around listening, performing and composing. Students have the opportunity to learn a wide range of instruments such as: guitar, ukulele, drums, piano, bass guitar, bucket drums, boomwhackers, djembes, xylophone/glockenspiel and many more. Lessons are designed to enhance students’ capacity to perceive and understand music and are highly practical based, engaging and fun. Through our music program we aim to provide a variety of rich music experiences for students, assisting them to find a passion for a particular musical instrument which they can practise and develop throughout their lives. 

As students progress in their study of Music, they have the opportunity to perform in various bands, groups and ensembles. This serves as a real-life experience that bolsters what is covered in weekly music lessons. ​​
