​Buongiorno!

At Bayswater West Primary School, all of our students learn Italian for 60 minutes every week. During this time, students engage with the Italian language exploring new concepts and phrases while building on existing knowledge to communicate with others. In addition to exploring the Italian language, students are also immersed in the rich and colourful Italian culture. This fosters an understanding and respect for differences across cultures, developing in students an openness to different experiences and perspectives which is essential for students of the 21st Century. 

Through song, dance, role-play, public speaking and digital technology, Bayswater West students flourish in the Italian classroom with the support of an experienced and enthusiastic bilingual teacher. 

Students at Bayswater West engage in an Italian program that is embedded throughout school life, providing a depth and breadth of culturally rich opportunities, through our much loved Italian Cultural Day, Italian Sister School program and Italian Talent/Fashion show.
