Digital Technologies
As a school we aim to develop creative, innovative and enterprising students who use traditional, contemporary and emerging technologies to develop creative digital solutions. At Bayswater West Primary School, we recognise the integral role that Digital Technology plays in the 21st Century and as a result, students have regular access to this across all learning areas. This allows students to apply their knowledge of Digital Technology to 'real-world' contexts in order to communicate ideas and solve problems by making informed and ethical decisions.
Here at Bayswater West students have access to a wide variety of digital resources, including laptops, iPads and digital cameras. Our students also get the opportunity to develop their robotics and coding skills through the Lego Education program.

Design Technology
Design Technology is an opportunity for students to engage in both collaborative and independent work to investigate, design, plan, manage, create and evaluate solutions to problems. Bayswater West students relish in the opportunity to grapple with worldly issues such as sustainability and develop design solutions accordingly. The approach to Design Technology is two-fold, not only do students engage with the design process, they also critique, analyse and evaluate their design solutions. This ensures students are engaging in critical and creative thinking and problem-solving, skills which we and the Victorian Curriculum consider pivotal for 21st Century students.
eSmart
Bayswater West Primary School is an eSmart accredited school. We explicitly teach our students about safe internet use and respecting technology. Students are also taught about protecting their information online and where to seek assistance if they need help.
