Special Events at BWPS
School CampsAt BWPS we value the rich experiences that school camps provide. Through exciting activities, students strengthen their relationships with peers, develop greater independence, grow their problem-solving skills and gain a greater understanding of themselves as a young person. In previous years, students have thoroughly enjoyed camps at Phillip Island, Anglesea and Somers with highlights including surfing, canoeing, the giant swing and disco night.

School ProductionEvery second year we have a whole school production where each and every student has the opportunity to participate whether it be on stage or be part of the backstage team. The production is also an opportunity for members of the school community to share in the excitement, assisting with prop and costume design.
Most recently BWPS showcased the The Amazing Adventures of Superstan where story, song and dance united the students to present a show that wowed families and fostered a shared sense of pride within the students. |

ParadesAt BWPS we are famous for our parades such as the Easter Hat Parade, Cup Day Parade and Book Week Parade. While optional to dress up, we are very lucky to have families who are incredibly dedicated to these special days, spending time with their children to create a costume that celebrates the spirit of the day. Students love showcasing their costumes during the special assembly and we are always flawed at the level of creativity and individuality that we see each year.

Science WeekScience Week is an exciting time at our school where experiments and hands-on learning are central. Not just for our students, we also invite our families to enjoy the activities alongside their children. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to share learning experiences with their families, sparking much conversation between students, families and staff.

Carols NightFramed by a warm summer night, families pack a picnic and find a spot on our oval to settle in for a night of carols. On a purpose built stage, each grade performs a Christmas song and dance that is enjoyed by all. This is a great way to close our school year, providing a fantastic opportunity for families, students and staff to reminisce about the school year.
